Au Commencement :

Les enfants de la Lune vivaient déjà depuis des siècles sur le sol lunaire. Leur dieu Séléné leur avait offert la vie et leur avait partagé son savoir de l’Arbre-Monde. La Lune était alors reliée à de nombreuses autres planètes via les Portes Astrales et ainsi naquirent les légendes des autres peuples que l’on raconte encore aujourd'hui. Néanmoins, la puissance des Sélénites grandissant, le dieu décida, pour ne pas être dépassé par sa progéniture, de couper tout contact avec ses enfants et les portails furent condamnés, seul celui de la Lune demeurant actif mais sans destination. Après cet évènement, les Sélénites vécurent en autarcie, leur savoir des autres peuples et créatures incroyables de l’océan stellaire ne subsistant qu’au sein des mythes.

La Conquête de l’Océan Stellaire :

Les Sélénites se développant par eux-mêmes, ils construisirent de nouveaux navires, alimentés par l’énergie de l’Arbre-Monde lunaire. Des embarcations, des Trirèmes, capables de voguer sur l’océan stellaire, plus loin qu’aucun Sélénite ne fut allé auparavant par ses propres moyens. Leur projet était de retrouver les planètes en possession d’Arbre-Monde et, dans le même temps, de Portes Astrales, pour les réactiver. A ses débuts, la navigation cosmique était une entreprise excessivement périlleuse, entre la longueur des voyages, des différents dangers de l’Océan Stellaire, et les maladies qui pouvaient se déclarer à bord des vaisseaux. Les Sélénites ne s’arrêtèrent pas sur la Terre, la planète ne possédant pas d’Arbre-Monde nécessaire à leur développement. Venus, en revanche, leur parut l’endroit idéal pour s’installer. Malheureusement, ils ne trouvèrent pas de portail Astral et puisqu’il était dangereux pour eux de s’établir si loin, sans contact avec leur Lune Mère, ils tentèrent leur chance sur Mercure. Celle-ci, bien qu’aride et maître de nombreux dangers, possédait bel un bien une Porte Astrale ainsi qu’un Arbre-Monde des plus puissants, puisqu’il se trouvait le plus proche du Soleil nourricier. Ainsi, la première colonie Sélénite fut créée sur Mercure.

Héliotes :

Les Trirèmes ne furent plus qu’utilisées entre Mercure et Venus, ou bien, pour de très grandes cargaisons. La proximité entre les deux planètes permit une exploration plus poussée de cette dernière et la découverte d’un Portail Astral enfoui sous terre ce qui altéra l’avis des Sélénites au sujet de la planète, jusqu’alors délaissée d’intérêt. Pendant ce temps, un mouvement populaire s’éleva au sein des colons de Mercure, guidés par un chef du nom de Phaéton, autoproclamé fils d’Helios, et qui se revendiquaient peuple du Soleil ainsi qu’uniques et légitimes bénéficiaires de la puissance des Arbres-Monde.

Le Conflit Cerigo :

Les tensions commencèrent lors des premiers projets de colonisation de Venus par les Sélénites. Au même moment, les colons de Mercure, clamant le nom d’Héliotes, se révoltèrent vis-à-vis de l’autorité Lunaire, demandant l’indépendance et réclamant la totale possession de Vénus. Les combats débutèrent entre les deux camps et durèrent quelques années. Bien que pris par surprise par cette révolte, les Sélénites gardèrent l’ascendant sur le conflit pendant un temps mais, finirent dépassés par la puissance Héliote, mieux préparée au combat. Les enfants du Soleil, face à leur première victoire, commencèrent à s’établir sur Venus et bâtirent la première cité : Cyprus. Cependant, les Sélénites, dirigés par le roi Endymion, ne voulurent pas s’arrêter sur cette défaite et provoquèrent de nouveaux combats. Malheureusement, le Conflit Cerigo se termina sur la victoire des Héliotes, et un traité d’arrêt des hostilités entre les deux planètes. Dans ses clauses,  les Sélénites devaient reconnaitre l’indépendance et la suprématie de Phaéton. Les enfants de la Lune furent autorisés à installer des colons sur Vénus, et, outre les 10000 Sélénites envoyés sur Mercure en tant qu’otages diplomatiques, devaient  payer de lourdes taxes envers le gouvernement Héliote, comme gage de respect et de soumission envers celui-ci.

L’Epoque Actuelle :

Plusieurs siècles se sont écoulés depuis le Conflit Cerigo, la paix est revenue entre les différents peuples, bien que fragile. Certains Hiélotes peu consentant à l’idée de partager une partie des ressources de Venus et beaucoup de Sélénites encore marqués par la guerre et désireux de reprendre les armes face aux enfants du Soleil. Le seul endroit demeurant officiellement neutre étant Vénus, les ségrégations et le communautarisme tend à persister ainsi que la méfiance. Les Héliotes gardent un œil avisé sur les Sélénites qui guettent la moindre brèche de l’Empire de Phaéton.
Dans ce siècle aux tensions viscérales, tout peut encore basculer.
